Willow and Rust Weddings can make your dreams a reality. I understand that outdoor (or dry hire) weddings are harder and more complicated to plan. There are a lot more things to think about when your venue potentially has no toilets and no electricity! But they are also the most exciting type of wedding to plan, as the canvas is blank, ‘Your day, Your way!’ you can rewrite the rule book, make your own traditions and have the day you have always wanted.
I also like to think about the environment, and outdoor weddings are already more eco-friendly than traditional venues due to their very nature. But I also work with a great selection of suppliers who focus on sustainability and reducing the environmental impact your wedding will have. There are so many small things you can do when planning that have a big impact on the carbon footprint of your day, and I know that this is becoming more and more important to couples when planning their weddings.
What is an outdoor wedding? Basically, this can include almost any space that is not a traditional wedding venue, a place where you need to add some kind of structure, like a tipi, a marquee or pagoda for example and amenities like toilets, power and heat. A field, woodland, garden, national park, barn, the grounds of a country house the list goes on.
These type of venues I call, ‘from scratch’ venues, they can also be known as 'dry hire' venues. Because you need to think of everything, start from scratch, a blank canvas. These type of events are not for the faint hearted as there is a lot to think about and organise. But don’t let me put you off, this is where I come in! They can also be the most amazing, unique and personal events, because you have chosen everything and designed your day around yourselves.

WEDDING PLANNER & CEO
BASED IN DERBYSHIRE WITH THE BEAUTIFUL PEAK DISTRICT ON MY DOORSTEP IT'S EASY TO SEE WHY I LOVE THE OUTDOORS AND NATURE SO MUCH. THIS IS WHERE I WAS BORN AND GREW UP, AND I FIRMLY BELIEVE THERE IS NOTHING QUITE LIKE THE ENGLISH COUNTRYSIDE.
I HAVE TRAVELLED AND SEEN A LOT OF THE WORLD AND SPENT 7 YEARS LIVING IN SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, WHICH IS WHERE I MET MY FIANCÉ. MY LOVE OF THE OUTDOORS WAS CEMENTED FURTHER LIVING SO CLOSE TO THE OCEAN AND I DO NOW MISS THE WATER WHEN IT'S NOT CLOSE BY.
MY LIFE AND MY STYLE ARE VERY MUCH INFLUENCED BY MY TIME IN AUSTRALIA. THIS IS DEFINITELY WHERE A LOT OF MY INSPIRATION FOR BEAUTIFUL OUTDOOR WEDDINGS COMES FROM, A FUSION OF AUSTRALIAN AND ENGLISH INFLUENCES COMING TOGETHER TO CREATE AN ECLECTIC MASH UP OF VINTAGE GLAMOUR AND SUSTAINABLE ELEGANCE. WHAT BETTER WAY TO CELEBRATE THAN WITH AN EVENT THATS SPREAD OVER A COUPLE OF DAYS, WITH FIRE PITS AND PICNICS, FOOD TRUCKS AND LIVE MUSIC, WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY STAYING CLOSE BY.
